Emmanuel Manu Opoku born in Ghana (1990) received his BFA in Painting from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and his MFA in Sculpture from the University of Florida. Emmanuel has had solo exhibitions in Palatka (FL), Gainesville (FL), Deland (FL), Wilmington (NC), Santa Fe (NM) and his work has recently been included in groups shows in Delaware, North Carolina, Philadelphia, and South Carolina and Worcester (Massachusetts). He is a recipient of James J. Rizzi Studio Award, Harold Garde Studio Art Award, and Juror's Prize at Artsworcester. Opoku has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Florida, Gainesville and he is currently teaching as an adjunct professor at Assumption University. He has participated in a 60-artist collaborative project “Exquisite Moving Corps,” which has been screened at the Emily Harvey Foundation in Venice (Italy) and Microscope Gallery, New York.
