Emmanuel Manu Opoku born in Ghana (1990) received his BFA in Painting from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and his MFA in Sculpture from the University of Florida. Emmanuel has had solo exhibitions in Palatka (FL), Gainesville (FL), Deland (FL), Wilmington (NC), Santa Fe (NM), and Worcester, (MA) and his work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions in the US and internationally. Emmanuel has participated in a touring video exhibition that involves 60 artists living across the US. He is a recipient of the James J. Rizzi Studio Award, the Harold Garde Studio Art Award, the College of the Arts UF Dean's Award, the Outstanding Student Award, and the ArtsWorcester Juror’s Prize. Opoku is a former curator of 4Most Gallery and a former Adjunct Professor of Studio Art at the University of Florida, Gainesville. He taught Studio Art – Sculpture at Clark University, Worcester and he is an Adjunct Professor of Studio Art – Painting at Assumption University, Worcester.
