Biography

 Emmanuel Manu Opoku born in Ghana (1990) received his BFA in Painting from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and his MFA in Sculpture from the University of Florida. Emmanuel has had solo exhibitions in Palatka (FL), Gainesville (FL), Deland (FL), Wilmington (NC), Santa Fe (NM) and his work has recently been included in groups shows in Delaware, North Carolina, Philadelphia, and South Carolina. He is a recipient of James J. Rizzi Studio Award, Harold Garde Studio Art Award, College of the Arts UF Dean's Award, and the Outstanding International Student Award. Opoku has taught as an instructor of record and is current teaching as an adjunct professor at the University of Florida, Gainesville. He has participated in a 60-artist collaborative project “Exquisite Moving Corps,” which will be screened at the Emily Harvey Foundation in Venice, Italy.
